SST-LCI versus ISO 15926-2
The SST LCI (Life-Cycle Integration) ontology is derived from the data model as defined in the international standard:
ISO 15926-2:2003 Industrial automation systems and integration —
Integration of life-cycle data for process plants including oil and gas production facilities,
Part 2: Data model
The goal of SST LCI is to support all capabilities of ISO 15926-2, but many things are done in a quite different way. Note that ISO 15926-2 defines a conceptual data model, meaning it is not intended to be a directly implementable data model (even if this is in principle possible as this data model is defined in Express). The SST LCI ontology on the other hand is defined in such a way that it can be directly implemented by most of the available RDF tools. This page highlights the main differences.
